To our fabulous staff & volunteers & fosters for looking after these 35 animals that are flying today for the last number of weeks/months
To Roberta Benefiel (Goose Bay Critter Sitter) for taking in & caring for 4 of the dogs we sent today for the last week or so
To Gabe Cavallaro with On-Time Courier & Christina Bird for helping pick up/transport dogs/pups from boarding kennel/shelter/cargo
To Alan Lawrie, Matt Broomfield & Georgina Tuttle of NorthMart who helped pick up/transport dogs/pups from shelter to cargo
To PAL / Air Borelias cargo crew & staff for helping arrange this charter and get the pups on the way to Gander
To Gander & SJ SPCA’s for taking the 35 animals between them!
To SJ & Gander SPCA’s & SPCA NL for the huge financial assistance toward the cost of the charter - this couldn’t have happened without you!
To all of our supporters in general who believe in the work we do to help the animals of Labrador!
Our shelter is now pretty quiet but we have more waiting to come to us! With all these animals moved we can help those that are waiting and whatever else gets thrown at us!

The HVGB SPCA’s 22nd Annual Walk for the Animals took place today on a beautiful fall day!
A total of $7,335 was raised!! This included participants who got sponsors; drop-in walkers who gave a personal donation; and a quick nail trim station via donation! Also, Belinda Parsons (Goose Bay) & Valerie Brown (Lab West) donated back their 1st & 2nd prizes for most money raised respectively. Winners of prizes included: Most money raised: 1st - Belinda Parsons ($1,855) 2nd - Valerie Brown ($1,335) Best dressed dog/walker: 1st - Francine Winters & Bowie 2nd - Quinn with Zuzu & Piglet 3rd - Jasper Danial with Harper THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK PART TODAY! Congrats to Marie Pokue, the big winner in our 50/50 draw last night! She won $18,305 and picked up her cheque this morning! A huge thanks again to EVERYONE who bought tickets! We couldn’t do it without you! Lots of love from all our SPCA animals you have helped!

2019 Walk for the Animals- HVGB
The HVGB SPCA in partnership with the Lake Melville Dog Park Association held its 20th annual Walk for the Animals today, Oct 6.
A total of $3,535 was raised from participants, with $557 going to the Dog Park!
