DONATE & HELP
Animals shelters are a full operation and organization of staff and volunteers. From our community, amazing fosters and Board members, we manage to have it running 365 days a year! We created a Amazon Wish list for Happy Valley- Goose Bay SPCA to help with some much needed supplies for all the animals in care. Here is the link https://www.amazon.ca/hz/wishlist/ls/JQM6P2ELH1GD?ref_=wl_
Thank you for all the support. |
Dear Friend,
Will you help us be there for the animals we love in these difficult times?
At this time of great worry and uncertainty for us all, I sincerely hope that you and your loved ones are in good health.
Here at the HV-GB SPCA, we are following the protocol, advice and recommendations from Government and our public health agency. We have put strict measures in place to protect our staff, as we must continue to come to work to provide care to the animals currently at our shelter. To adhere to social distancing and to ensure the safety of our staff and volunteers, we closed our shelter to the public; however, we are continuing with adoptions and are still providing essential items to our wonderful foster homes.
While our physical and mental health and well-being is top priority for our staff and volunteers, we must also consider the financial implications the COVID-19 virus is having on our organization. We have already seen a significant drop in income as we cancelled all fundraising events for the foreseeable future, including our biggest fundraisers: Chase the Ace; cash ticket draws; and our online auction, as they all involve close contact with people. Our SPCA runs solely on fundraising and donations, and as the activities of our organization are at a standstill, we’re deeply worried about how this will affect the animals who depend on us to remain open so we can help them.
That is why I’d like to ask you to consider helping us through these uncertain times with a donation. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
IF YOU CAN, PLEASE SEND A GIFT TODAY – we can mail you a tax receipt for donations over $10 (Just don’t forget to give us your full mailing address!)
The wonderful thing about animals is their ability to provide us with joy and unconditional love – something that becomes even more valuable in times like these. If you are fortunate enough to have a pet with you at home, please give them an extra cuddle on behalf of all of us at the HV-GB SPCA. And if you can, it would be wonderful if you are able to help us so we can be there for the animals that so desperately need our love and care.
With our thanks and best wishes for the health of you and your loved ones,
HV-GB SPCA
Board of Directors

You can help...
New & Used Items – The SPCA hosts flea markets, auctions, and other fund raisers throughout the year. If you have items that you no longer want or use or new items you are willing to donate, please call us to arrange pickup (no used clothing, please!) or drop items off at the shelter.
Recycle Program - The HVGB SPCA has accounts set up at both NorLab & Rogers Recycling for those bringing back bottles or recyclables and want to donate a portion to our shelter. Your support is greatly
appreciated!!
Donations of Food and Supplies - When doing your shopping, pick up some:
Note: if charity receipt is requested, we will require the store receipt.
As we are not able to cover medical costs for animals, we have set up a spay/neuter and medical emergency fund to assist as many animals as possible that require extra medical attention to lead a happy, healthy life. Your donations will allow the shelter to keep saving those animals that just need a little extra to help find their forever homes. Please contact us for further information.
